For two nights in December, get ready to ring in the season with the return of Canada's only CHRISTMAS DRIVE-IN movie series at Wesgroup's River District neighbourhood in South Vancouver!

Our gift to you: we’ll be hosting delightful Christmas family film favorites like a “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas" (2000) and “The Polar Express” (2004). Come laugh along to holiday classics like "Elf" (2003) and "A Christmas Story" (1983) on our 4 storey-high screen from the warmth and comfort of your own car. It’s non-stop outdoor drive-in Christmas holiday film festival fun that’s no lump of coal in your stocking!

Your CARLOAD parking pass gives you preferred parking at the Christmas Drive-In for the movie of your choice for one car/truck/van/SUV, and entry for you + up to 7 other guests inside your vehicle.

Rules / Information

Key information you should know BEFORE you purchase a Halloween Drive-In Parking Pass:

For all audience members:

  • Gates Open at 6pm nightly
  • 4 Food Trucks & Snack Bar onsite
  • Be aware of the weather and dress appropriately for the climate. Shoes are a MUST.
  • FM radio required to tune in for audio
  • Be considerate of those around you. Keep your radio volume at a reasonable level.
  • No alcohol/drugs: vehicles will be subject to inspection upon entry. No glass bottles will be permitted.
  • NO Laserlights, flashlights and other illuminating devices (including HEADLIGHTS)
  • Pets are permitted as long as they are on a leash when on the parking lot, and stay inside the vehicle during the show. YOU MUST CLEAN UP AFTER YOUR PET.
  • Litter bins are conveniently located throughout the premises. Please use them, DO NOT LITTER. Better yet - take your litter with you when you leave.
  • GATES OPEN AT 6:00PM. The movie starts at 7:00PM. Please be considerate to the other viewers by not arriving late.
  • IT IS REQUIRED that you bring this pass with you and present it at our box office for entry.
  • Parking Pass sold is for this ONE (1) show only. If you wish to see other film(s) that evening or in the series, separate parking passes for each film/event must be purchased.

For Vehicles:

  • Please make sure your engine is NOT running throughout the movie.
  • Be aware of the weather and dress appropriately for the climate. Bring jackets or blankets to be comfortable
  • Headlights are strictly prohibited and must be turned off after entering the venue.
  • LIGHTS OUT. You must be in control of your vehicles lights at all times. Consult your owner's manual for override of daytime running lights, automatic headlights, delay on/off lights and door and hatchback operated interior lights. Keep your feet off the brake pedal.
  • NO HONKING: people that honk will be ejected
  • ALWAYS drive slowly for your safety and those around you and abide by all traffic control personnel
  • All pedestrians and cyclists have the right of way at all times and when exiting the venue
  • 4x4s, SUVs, trucks, vans and other extended vehicles, upon arrival, will be required to park in a designated area.
  • No overloading of vehicles - maximum to the number of seat belts in your vehicle (max 8 people), one parking space per vehicle within marked limits.
  • No one is permitted to sit on top of their vehicles.

Come early for best parking space - food trucks and snack bar on site for your dining convenience.

Remember: the film's soundtrack is broadcast on your FM radio. Make sure your vehicle has an FM radio, or bring a portable radio with you. Sorry, we don't have radios to loan.

Synopsis: In this live-action adaptation of the beloved children's tale by Dr. Seuss, the reclusive green Grinch (Jim Carrey) decides to ruin Christmas for the cheery citizens of Whoville. Synopsis: Buddy (Will Ferrell) was accidentally transported to the North Pole as a toddler and raised to adulthood among Santa's elves. As it happens, this is Walter Hobbs (James Caan), a cynical businessman.
